Course & Distance Limited are delighted to be able to announce that the name of leading trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has joined our stable of the very popular breakfast tours.
A three-hour tour to Grange Hill Farm, the gallops and breakfast at the famous Hollow Bottom pub will commence in the New Year, on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Former stable jockey and now business partner Carl Llewellyn will personally be on hand at the Grange Hill Farm gallops, then a trip around the yard which includes stars such as Imperial Commander, Khyber Kim, Hello Bud, Pettifour and Ollie Magern.
Llewellyn told www.cdhorseracingtours.com: "Imperial Commander is in good form ahead of the King George VI Chase. Both of his runs going right-handed - at Punchestown when he was pulled-up in bottomless ground and at Kempton last Christmas when the yard wasn't in great form - can be discounted because now he has the right conditions to suit.
"The Haydock race (Betfair Chase) was his first of the season and Imperial Commander is entitled to improve. He's got a great chance. "Ollie Magern will run at Wetherby, he loves the track and we have purposely kept him back for this race since his run in the Charlie hall Chase in October.
"He goes into the race (Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase) with a good chance - weather permitting - and Tom Molloy will ride. We'll keep Ollie Magern in the King George VI Chase just in case there are any problems with Wetherby."
